The Difference: CBD vs. THC

Understanding cannabis and marijuana can be a bit confusing.

CBD and THC are the two natural compounds that are getting the most attention and creating the most confusion. CBD and THC are both found in cannabis plants, but they interact with your body differently.
Both compounds interact with your body’s endocannabinoid system, but they have very different effects.
THC is the main psychoactive compound in marijuana. It's what makes people feel "high." We have two types of cannabinoid receptors in our bodies. THC binds with receptors -- mostly in the brain -- that control pain, mood, and other feelings. That's why THC can make you feel euphoric and give you that so-called high.

CBD doesn't cause that high. Instead, it's thought to work with other elements in the body linked to feelings of well-being.
People take CBD products to help with everything from arthritis and Crohn's disease to diabetes and multiple sclerosis. Some say it helps with anxiety, insomnia, and chronic pain.
CBD can also change the way some medicines work. Talk with your doctor about it.

CBD and THC have many of the same medical benefits that can provide relief from several of the same conditions. Some people may prefer to use CBD because of the lack of this side effect of feeling “high”.
CBD and THC both have medical benefit and they are both considered safe, but consider the possible side effects and interactions with other drugs you take. Always talk with your doctor or a qualified cannabis or CBD clinician before use if you have any questions. Offer certified and experienced staff are always eager to educate customers and answer any questions they may have.
